How to predict your health

A couple of times, I’ve had discussions with family members, friends and colleagues and one of their concerns is the possibilities of having our health in our hands.

One of the questions I have come across on this subject is if it is possible to predict someone’s health? My answer has been and will remain YES!

Yes, you can predict your health simply by eating more healthily!

Do you think you can eat healthily? Yes, you can!

There are several ways you can eat healthily such as;

~ Adopt the 5-A-DAY plan.

~ Reduce your salt intake.

~ Eat more fish than red meat.

~ Eat more of lean protein foods.

~ Cut down on fatty and sugary food.

~ Drink at least 6 glasses of water a day.

~ Drink only fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk.

~ Eat more nuts such as almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio etc

~ Do not skip breakfast (Breakfast remains the most important meal of the day as it kickstarts your body to work for the day).

~ Reduce calorie intake from fizzy drinks. Drink more of natural fruit juice, fruit smoothies and vegetable smoothies.

~ Do not overcook vegetables to avoid losing essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals needed for your body.
