Coleslaw is a salad made of thinly cut, carrots, onions and raw cabbage.

It is often dressed with a mayonnaise or salad dressing.

It is ideal to place coleslaw in the refrigerator after preparation to retain it’s freshness.

Coleslaw is usually served as a side dish for salads and main meals such as  fried chicken, potato chips and barbecued meats.

It is very easy to prepare, less time consuming  and requires no cooking.
